British GEA refrigeration companies now under one roof
Effective at the beginning of 2012, the British companies GEA Eurotek Limited, GEA Grasso Holdings Limited, GEA Refrigeration Components (UK) Limited, and GEA Grenco Limited will do business under the name GEA Refrigeration UK Limited. The head office of the new company will be positioned in Sittingbourne (Kent) in southeast England. The new company will encompass the activities of the freezer segment, Grasso refrigeration systems and heat pumps, the sector- and customer-specific solutions of the former Grenco team, as well as refrigeration components and service. Ken Reed, President Sales of GEA Refrigeration UK, said, “Merging these fields of activity strengthens our competence and simplifies major projects in which, for example, both central refrigeration facilities as well as freezers are required for the same project. Our customers will profit from services on a one-stop basis: beginning with planning, including installation and commissioning, and extending to preventive and restorative maintenance.”
With this restructuring, GEA Refrigeration Technologies systematically continues the simplification of structures and of its corporate profile. This has become necessary because GEA Group during recent years has extensively grown by acquisition of small companies. This resulted in several companies with a related product portfolio often doing business in one country – such as the UK. GEA Refrigeration UK Limited now offers its customers a unified sales organization, which focusses the refrigeration competence of the company. Contact partners will remain the same in Sales, with the result that existing customers can turn to the contact persons with whom they are already familiar.
